Porthcawl Shotokan Karate Club has been run and instructed for over 14 years by Christian Whale (5th Dan) and is affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain, the largest single style Karate association in the UK.

Porthcawl Shotokan Karate Club has several members on the current Welsh Squad, and enjoys a reputation as one of the best Karate Clubs in South Wales, with high standards and excellent instruction, but also a welcoming atmosphere that encourages beginners.
